RYSZARD BOLECHOWSKI

The essence
Ever since I was young, I've been drawing portraits with an almost insane precision using a simple gray crayon.
Nowadays my methods have changed. But people are still the main subject of my art.
I can observe people endlessly. I can get inspired by a posture, a moment, a personal encounter, a thought, a relation with objects and the space they are in or by society itself. This is how my personal stories take hold. In my art however, I try to omit what I am experiencing at that moment. I work with mixed techniques on panels while the simple gray crayon is still my favorite tool
